Program Information:
tera[byte], like the other byte pieces, is inspired by today’s social circumstances. The past year has been about transitions—quick off-the-cuff ones and long over thought out ones, with some stasis dappled in the midst. Now, we grapple with the transition back to normal, whatever the ‘After Times’ normal may be. In tera[byte], the double bass starts playing using only (various) pizzicato and gradually transitions to (various) arco playing styles.
