Program Information:
cycrotations is a portmanteau of the words cyclic and rotations. The work is cyclic, constantly transitioning in and out of itself, andset in three sections. Each sections strictly highlights a certain timbre – metals, skins or woods – and evolves within the timbre and eventually out of the timbre. There is a large-scale movement from pitches to unpitched sounds back to pitches.
